Netflix is trying its best in the Indian market. That’s why the company is working on its cheap plans. The company is testing new subscription plans like Airtel TV and Hotstar. A few weeks ago, it was heard that the company is about to bring a monthly plan of 250 rupees. But now the company is also doing a test of Rs 65 a weeklong plan. Monthly plan of 250 rupees and Rs 65 per day will be for mobile only. Netflix will not be used on TV in these plans. This plan of Netflix is currently in beta testing, it is not available for everyone. Netflix Weekly Plan will not come with HD and Ultra HD support.
Talk about current plans, Netflix has three fundamental plans right now. It has a basic plan of 500 rupees per month. Apart from this, the standard HD plan of Rs 650 is the month. Apart from this, the premium ultra HD plan of Rs 800 is the month. Apart from this, there are 3 more Weekly plans. It has a basic plan of 125 rupees. There is a standard plan of Rs 165. For a week, taking a premium plan will cost Rs 200.
As far as Plans are concerned, all of the less than 500 rupees are for mobile. Users can watch unlimited movies and TV programs in Netflix’s 250 rupees plan, but only on mobile and tablet. However, users can upgrade plans of Rs 500 or more at any time during validity. 65 rupees per week and 250 rupees per month plans are already available in India, but not for everyone. This plan will be implemented in different phases for all.
Commenting on the testing of these plans, Netflix said, “We are always looking for ways to make Netflix more engaging and easier. We will test different options in those selected countries, where people can view Netflix on their mobile device at a lower cost. Apart from this, you can also subscribe for less time. The company also said, this mobile-only plan is only a test – this is not a new plan rollout or there is no cost reduction. ”
