Restrictions will include the Belarusian Oil Trading House, Belneftekhim, and its American subsidiary.
The US Treasury Department has confirmed that it will resume sanctions against oil and other companies in Belarus from June 3, due to the incident with the Ryanair aircraft on May 23.
This was announced on Sunday, May 30, by Bloomberg, citing a representative of the department.
The agency notes that sanctions will include, among other things, “a tire manufacturer, a fertilizer manufacturer, and a paint manufacturer.”

After the victory of Alexander Lukashenko in the 2006 elections, the United States imposed sanctions against Minsk due to the violation of human rights in the republic.
Then, US citizens and companies were banned from providing funding, goods, or services to those on the list, and vice versa. The sanctions list included, in particular, Lukashenka himself.
Among the companies that were subject to the sanctions are Belneftekhim and its American office, Belshina, Grodno Azot, Grodno Khimvolokno, Lakokraska, Naftan, Polotsk-Steklovolokno, and the Belarusian Oil Trading House.
Earlier, the general director of the Belarusian airline Belavia Igor Cherginets called the imposition by Western countries of restrictions on flights against the company in connection with the incident with the Ryanair plane a shame.
