A dentist discouraged brushing after eating and exposed the most common mistakes, we make when taking care of teeth, habits that instead of improving, end up destroying dental health.

Tooth enamel is covered in a protective acidic mantle, which is why dental expert Markus F. Felber indicates that it is a big mistake to brush teeth immediately after eating because it can damage the tooth surface.

In an interview with the German medium Focus, the dentist explained that the so-called red-to-white brushing technique, which consists of brushing from top to bottom at the top and bottom to top at the bottom with vertical movements can also damage the teeth. teeth.

Another mistake is to believe that eating an apple after eating a meal helps clean your teeth. On the contrary, it can cause damage.

“Due to the lack of a protective acid layer after eating, the apple damages the enamel of the teeth more than it benefits it,” explained Felber.

Whiteners or bleaching are also aggressive to the teeth. According to the German specialist, bicarbonate is not as harmless as it seems if it is used too often.

What the dentist did recommend is the use of dental floss every day, since he considers that this product is extremely important to maintain the health of the teeth.
