The rapper is under investigation and could face up to six months in prison.

Rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is under investigation by Los Angeles police on charges of beating a fan who asked the star for an autograph.

It is noted that the incident occurred on the night of Thursday, January 13, near the nightclub Soho Warehouse in the heart of the largest city in the US state of California.

According to the local news, a verbal dispute arose between Ye and his supporter, during which the celebrity pushed and hit the victim. 

Meanwhile, TMZ published a video showing an unknown man lying on the sidewalk, while an angry rapper screaming trying to leave the scene. 

“Did y’all say that or not? Did y’all say that or not? Cause that’s what happened right… now,” he can be heard saying.

Sources say that when law enforcement officers arrived at the nightclub, West had already left. The victim, for his part, refused medical care.

The investigation was launched by the Los Angeles City Prosecutor’s Office. Ye faces up to six months in prison for the crime.
