A vitamin that is missing from more than half of Stroke patients diet – study

A stroke is a serious, life-threatening medical illness that occurs when a portion of the brain’s blood supply is cut off. Multiple factors can put you at risk, and one of them is vitamin deficiency.

The sooner a person receives treatment for a stroke, the less probable that permanent damage will occur.

There are around 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, and your symptoms will depend on the part of your brain affected and the extent of the damage.

Stroke is one of the most common causes of long-term disability in the US. More than half of stroke survivors aged 65 and beyond are unable to perform daily tasks.

“Someone in the United States has a stroke every 40 seconds. Every 4 minutes, someone dies of stroke,” says CDC.

You must maintain a healthy diet as certain foods can have an adverse effect on your health. In order to receive all the nutrients your body requires, you should also eat a healthy, well-balanced diet.

Indeed, one study presented at the American Academy of Neurology’s annual meeting in 2014 revealed that 59 percent of people who had a haemorrhagic stroke were vitamin C deficient.

This group was compared to those who had not suffered a stroke and typically had normal vitamin C levels.

Additionally, a 2012 study discovered that individuals with low vitamin D levels had a higher risk of stroke than those with high vitamin D levels.

Anxiety, sadness, and excessive levels of stress, according to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), are all risk factors.

It adds: “Working long hours and not having much contact with friends, family, or others outside the home are also linked with higher risk of stroke.”

Additionally, there are a variety of additional risk factors, including poor lifestyle practices such as lack of physical activity, excessive alcohol use, and use of illegal drugs such as cocaine.

According to a comprehensive genetic study published in The Lancet, even light-to-moderate drinking boosts blood pressure and the risk of having a stroke.

The CDC warns that the catastrophic event occurs every four minutes in the US.

Stroke is uncommon in people under the age of 40. When it does occur, it is frequently precipitated by persistently elevated blood pressure.

According to the Mayo Clinic, aerobic activity reduces the risk of stroke in a variety of ways.

Exercise can help you maintain healthy blood pressure, boost your good cholesterol levels, and improve the general health of your blood vessels and heart.
