However, the most important thing is that it induces the release of the neurotransmitter serotonin, the happiness hormone can improve mood, soothe nerves and, most importantly regulate appetite.
But how should you consume it if you want to lose weight? Nutritionists agree that to get the most out of it, you have to consume it raw and opt for less ripe fruits, as they contain less sugar.
It is also advisable to combine it with a protein source – such as milk, yogurt, cheese or seeds – to reduce its glycemic index, although, in any case, it is not contraindicated for people with diabetes.
Experts recommend consuming three servings of fruit every day, at different times: breakfast, lunch, dinner, mid-morning, snack, before going to bed, depending on the conditions of each one, the important thing is to try to make three pieces of fruit a day.
