Expert named two common causes of hair loss

Hair loss can be caused by many different of factors, including genetics and dietary deficiencies. Hair thinning can be especially bad in the winter, so here’s how to get thicker hair, according to an expert.

Anything from a genetic predisposition to things like stress, hormonal imbalance, and a lack of vitamins and minerals can cause hair loss.

To keep the health of your whole body and your hair in good shape, you need vitamins.

As every hair follicle has a vitamin D receptor, vitamin D is very important for healthy hair growth cycles since every hair follicle has one.

People who don’t get enough vitamin D are more likely to lose their hair, especially in the winter when we don’t get as much sun.

If you don’t get enough vitamin D, you might lose your hair. Hair and wellness experts say that eating well and changing your lifestyle can help you get your hair back.

If you get 30 minutes of midday sunlight or 10 micrograms of Vitamin D every day, you may be able to boost your immunity and keep your hair healthy at the same time.

Karl Kristian, the founder of the Scandinavian health and wellness brand New Nordic, elaborated:

“Vitamin D is so important as it is metabolized in the skin by keratinocytes.

“These are skin cells that process keratin, a protein in hair, nails, and skin. When the body doesn’t have enough vitamin D, keratinocytes in hair follicles have trouble regulating hair growth and shedding.”

However, hair loss is not always the result of a vitamin D deficiency.

It could also be due to a lack of vitamin B12, which is present in animal products, or from consuming too little protein, which leads hair to become fragile and break off.

According to the expert, protein deficiency can be addressed with a diet rich in lean meat, eggs, oily fish, low-fat cheese, quinoa, almonds, and tofu, while it’s recommended to look for foods fortified with Vitamin B12 and take a supplement, especially if you’re vegetarian or vegan.
