There are several studies that have proven the benefits of papaya and lemon separately.

Papaya is known to contain unique properties to facilitate the digestion of food thanks to its high content of the enzyme papain, which helps to aid healing, acts as an anti-inflammatory and anthelmintic. It also prevents arteriosclerosis and thromboembolism.

Papaya also contains several nutrients and is a great contributor of antioxidants, this allows it to help reduce the risk of some diseases.

In turn, it is known that lemon also has many properties and helps break down toxins in the digestive tract, it is also able to help detoxify the body by expelling what no longer serves it through urine.

In addition to being rich in vitamin C, lemon is able to stimulate the immune system, improve metabolism, as well as brain, kidney and heart functions and according to the experts, the mixture of these fruits in a recipe can not only help the body but also be a delicious drink. 

  1. Remove the peel, clean the seeds and cut half a papaya into cubes.
  2. Place them in a blender with a liter of water.
  3. Add the juice of two lemons along with the sweetener of your choice.
  4. Blend these ingredients for a minute and enjoy a healthy and refreshing drink.
