According to the findings of a thorough review published in the Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases, more than twenty million people worldwide currently suffer with rheumatoid arthritis. If you are one of them, modifying your diet can be beneficial.

Joint inflammation, which can hurt and make joints stiff, can get worse as you get older. But there are ways to make some of the pain or slow down the progress of arthritis. Changing your diet and lifestyle are two examples.

The essential vitamins and minerals included in particular diets have been proved to reduce arthritic pain and discomfort.

So, the most important thing to do every day if you have arthritis is to eat a lot of green vegetables.

Phytochemicals and antioxidants found in leafy greens, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and asparagus protect cells from oxidative damage.

Consuming green leafy vegetables like spinach, kale, and others can help prevent free radical damage to cells. Vegetables are a great source of antioxidants, and as a result, they help keep your body healthy.

Antioxidants can significantly reduce the severity of disease, according to research findings that were published in the International Journal of Preventive Medicine. The study also found that antioxidants might be able to help people with rheumatoid arthritis deal with oxidative stress.

A diet high in dark, leafy green vegetables can help raise levels of beta-carotene, a pigment that transforms into vitamin A, according to research published in the American Journal of Lifestyle Medicine.

It may also reduce the likelihood or severity of chronic diseases associated with inflammation by lowering C-reactive protein (CRP), a marker of acute inflammation.

Researchers advised eating chard, spinach, kale, and other greens every day.

So, if you have arthritis, try increasing your intake of cruciferous veggies and leafy greens. While enhancing the body’s general health, these meals will assist in reducing inflammation, which contributes to the painful symptoms of arthritis.
