These drinks make you age faster – research

If you remove these drinks from your diet, you can slow down the aging process.

Some cosmetologists believe that dark circles under the eyes, at least in part, appear due to addiction to wine and other alcohol.

Alcohol is the first to be hit when it comes to aging. However, a new European study reveals a completely different category of drinks that can pose a threat to the youth of your skin and body in general.

In the study published in Current Nutrition Reports, a group of doctors from Turkey and Spain noted what they called the gap between lifespan and “health span”.

In other words, they recognized that although on average, people tend to live longer than in previous centuries, the data suggest that this does not mean that we are all completely healthy for the rest of our lives. Of course, one of the main factors influencing aging and well-being is human nutrition.

So, after reviewing past research, a group of scientists concluded that sugar drinks affect health and longevity.

Consumption of sugary drinks – sugar bombs – will have bad consequences for human health, including the risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and cancer.

Sugar-sweetened beverages are associated with oxidative stress and chronic inflammation (which can cause disease), insulin resistance (which often leads to diabetes) and disruption of the intestinal microbiota. These processes affect the general physical condition, including mood and mental health.

Medical researchers argue that replacing sugar-sweetened beverages with healthier ones may be a sensible option to reduce the burden of chronic disease in the elderly, as well as to prolong life and maintain health.

A healthy alternative to drinks with sugar

It has been experimentally proven that it takes 21 days to form and consolidate a new habit. However, not everything is so clear. Science has not yet found a definitive answer to the question of how long it takes to form a habit. Therefore, everything is individual and depends on the complexity of the habit. 

The action becomes a habit when performed without opposition from the body. We understand that it will be difficult for those who are used to sweet drinks to switch to water and tea in one day. 

But it’s worth a try. Start small – today walk past the shelves with carbonated drinks in the supermarket. 

It is better to buy a delicious quality drink.

Tea

Studies show that tea is good for health. Drinking this drink can protect you from kidney stones, help burn fat.

Natural juice

Fruit, vegetable or berry juice, squeezed by yourself without added sugar – a good alternative to breakfast or lunch. We recommend that you consult a dietitian or family doctor regarding the proportions and rules of use in your individual case. But believe me, it’s worth it.

Water

Here are some of the consequences of not drinking enough water:

  • dry mouth,
  • high pressure and temperature,
  • headache,
  • burning in the eyes,
  • drowsiness and dizziness, 
  • muscle spasms and cramps,
  • renal failure. 

Symptoms of dehydration in case of poisoning or sunstroke are more severe. Muscle hypotension, severe headache, nausea, confusion, redness are added.

So get used to drinking healthy. We hope that in your case the habit will be formed earlier than in 21 days.
