Two Popular Drinks To Lower Risk of High Cholesterol Levels

High cholesterol is a risk factor for heart attacks and strokes, so it’s critical to keep your levels under control. According to a study, one way to achieve this is by consuming two tasty beverages.

When a person’s blood contains an excessive amount of fatty material, high cholesterol results. These deposits eventually increase, making it challenging for enough blood to pass through the arteries.

These deposits can occasionally unexpectedly rupture and create a clot, which can result in a heart attack or stroke.

The main contributors to high cholesterol include consuming too many fatty foods, not getting enough exercise, being overweight, smoking, and drinking too much alcohol. Inheritance is another option.

It’s critical to take all reasonable steps to maintain good cholesterol levels. According to studies, consuming orange juice or Fuji apple juice is one approach to do this.

According to the CDC, a diet high in fruits and vegetables is thought to lower the risk of heart disease and stroke.

They are a good source of folate, vitamin C, and potassium, among other vitamins and minerals. They can assist you in maintaining a healthy weight and keeping your heart healthy because they are often low in fat and calories.

Fruits include a lot of fiber, which is thought to lower cholesterol. It accomplishes this by preventing certain cholesterol from entering the bloodstream after leaving the intestines.

According to several research, consuming orange juice can reduce a person’s risk of heart disease, which includes having high blood pressure and cholesterol.

Additionally, it has been shown that the well-known juice supports a strong and healthy heart.

When consumed in moderation, research shows that regular orange juice consumption reduces “bad” cholesterol levels while raising “good” cholesterol levels.

One study looked into 103 men between the ages of 18 and 66 and 26 women between the ages of 18 and 65 in order to explore this topic in more detail.

All participants worked at an orange juice factory and had free orange juice available to them every day.

According to the findings, 59 percent of the volunteers did not drink orange juice, compared to 41 percent of those who did throughout the course of at least a year.

Researchers discovered that people who consumed orange juice had much lower cholesterol levels than those who did not.

According to the study’s findings, orange juice effectively lowers cholesterol levels, which lowers the risk of heart disease.

Fuji apple juice is pleasant tasting and touted as a nutritious beverage that can help with a variety of medical issues.

Another study revealed that Fuji apple juice had a higher polyphenol content than other apple cultivars, which are rich in antioxidants.

According to a study done on animals, the polyphenols in Fuji apple juice may protect the heart and liver by reducing cholesterol levels.

Another test-tube study found that Fuji apple juice reduced insulin resistance, which also benefited type 2 diabetes.

“Being overweight or obese increases the risk of high cholesterol levels. So reaching or maintaining a healthy weight can help to reduce the risk of high cholesterol ” explains Signe Svanfeldt, the top nutritionist at Lifesum.

Added her: “If you try to lower your energy intake, water should be the go-to beverage of choice.

In order to lower your cholesterol levels, you should aim to eat an overall healthy diet with a low amount of foods rich in saturated fats (found in butter, cream, bacon), as they can raise the levels of the “bad” cholesterol and focus on eating lots for vegetables, fruits, whole grains, beans, lentils, lean protein (fish, tofu, poultry) as well as unsaturated healthy fats (nuts, seeds, avocado).

“In addition to a varied and balanced diet – regular physical activity can help reduce high cholesterol levels.”
