A pet parrot nicknamed Frosty is recovering in hospital after swallowing 21 diamonds.
In Bangkok, Thailand, a parrot nicknamed Frosty ate 21 diamonds from his mistress’s necklace.
According to the sources, after swallowing diamonds, parrot weakened and no longer wanted to eat.
The bird was taken to a veterinary clinic and had an X-ray, which showed that the bird had diamonds in its tummy.

Vets found small bead-like objects on its stomach and took the bird into theatre for an emergency operation.
Dr Kuntita Paveenasakorn, from the Animal Space Hospital, estimated that each of the 21 diamonds was around 0.2 carats.
He said:
The parrot was sedated before its small stomach was opened to remove 21 diamonds.
After the operation, the bird will remain in the hospital until the stitches heal.

The bird is expected to be discharged by the end of the month.
