Joni Ernst has been circulating conspiracy theories about the coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic
Iowa Senator Joni Ernst was among the members of the U.S. Congress who made the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
Members of Congress, including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, receive the vaccine as a matter of priority.
Ernst, a Republican senator, did the same, even posting a photo on social media and encouraging her fellow citizens to do the same.

2/3 I encourage all Iowans and Americans to do the same when their time comes. Thanks to #OperationWarpSpeed and the tireless work of Americans across the country, we are one step closer to defeating this virus.

3/3 It’s also important that we continue to wear a mask, social distance, and follow CDC guidelines to protect our families, friends, and neighbors.

All this would have been expected, if the senator herself, from the outbreak of the pandemic onwards, had not circulated conspiracy theories that the deaths from the coronavirus were a “fraud” in order for doctors to make money.
Just last September, Ernst shared a QAnon post claiming that only 6% of deaths attributed to Covid-19 were due to the coronavirus.
Internet users spoke of the “hypocrisy” of the senator, who, nevertheless, hurried to take advantage of her political status in order to be one of the first to get the vaccine.
Joni Ernst lied and said that the COVID death toll was being inflated by doctors who stood to profit from the pandemic. She lied about the pandemic and now she's getting a vaccine to protect herself from the pandemic she lied about.

It is disgraceful that you jumped the line in front of vulnerable recipients after you knowingly and purposefully made the pandemic worse.https://t.co/CYH3BlE2TY
