Fishing in Australia can sometimes come as a surprise, considering the number of reptiles that inhabit the country’s rivers. One of them got caught on the hook of a Queensland fisherman.

In the video posted by the television channel 7 News, you can see how the man feels when he hooks something very heavy and tries to bring it to the surface. At first, he even thought it was a large stick.

“Oh my god. It’s not a log at all,” he exclaimed as he struggled with his unexpected prey.

Despite the risk, the man remained calm and did not give up his attempts to remove the hook, which was very difficult as the animal continued to try to escape.

Finally, after three minutes of fighting, the hook broke, allowing the crocodile to leave.
