An impressive experiment by a Colombian allows him to see the Earth from space

Published on

Colombian blogger Faber Burgos Sarmiento managed to carry out an impressive experiment that allowed him to observe our planet from the stratosphere.

The ‘influencer’ attached a GoPro camera to a weather balloon and launched it into space from Boyacá in Colombia.

In the video, recorded by the camera, you can see how the globe is gaining more and more height showing some incredible landscapes of our planet.

The YouTuber also attached a photo of himself and his collaborators and the Colombian flag to the balloon.

The camera’s GPS allowed Burgos Sarmiento to retrieve the device when it returned to Earth.

Normally, weather balloons serve to lift instruments into the atmosphere to collect information on atmospheric pressure, temperature, and humidity.
