A US military pilot posted on his Instagram account rare images of a solar eclipse captured from the outside of an aircraft.

According to the post, the video was recorded from the Cirrus SR22T aircraft in the sky over the state of Oregon at an altitude of 5,334 meters.

The eclipse shadow speed was about 3218 kilometers per hour.

The author of the recording claims that it is one of the few images that exist of a solar eclipse captured from the outside of an aircraft.
