Dwayne Johnson Thinks Politicians Dividing Americans: He Can Bring Them “Together”

There has been discussion for years about whether Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will someday run for President of the United States.

A reliable source says that if he has enough public support, the celebrity is “absolutely serious” about putting his hat in the ring.

An insider told OK!: “By Johnson’s own admission, he doesn’t know anything about politics, but he’s a quick learner and he’s willing to take a course in political science and study.”

(Before starting an official campaign, the actor told Stephen Colbert on The Late Show in 2018 that he needed to “get some experience and understand policy.”)

According to the insider, Johnson believes he has what it takes to bring the country together.

“Dwayne is motivated to help bring people together. He doesn’t like all the division that’s happening, and he thinks a lot of politicians are a bunch of losers,” the insider adds.

“It might be egotistical, but he thinks he can do a better job.”

“Dwayne’s family and friends are behind him,” adds a source close to the star. “They think he has the right stuff.”

Johnson, as previously reported, has been considering about calling the White House home for quite some time.

“I would consider a presidential run in the future if that’s what the people wanted,” he revealed in 2017.

“Truly I mean that, and I’m not flippant in any way with my answer. That would be up to the people… So I would wait, and I would listen. I would have my finger on the pulse, my ear to the ground,” the movie star said that time.

Johnson publicly endorsed the Biden/Harris ticket in the 2020 election.

“As a registered Independent for years now with centrist ideologies, I do feel that Vice President Biden and Sen. Harris are the best choice to lead our country, and I am endorsing them to become president and vice president,” he said at the time.

“My vote represented my little daughters, my vote represented humanity, my vote represented decency, it represented the values and principles we teach our little girls and my vote also, for me, represented the importance of just being a good, decent human being and how important that is,” Johnson said after Biden’s victory.
