A resident of Hillsboro, in the state of Oregon, died after an Elk that he had tried to hunt the previous day gored him in the neck.
The 66-year-old man, identified as Mark David, was bow hunting on private property in Tillamook. He shot the animal and wounded it, but could not find it in the dark.
The next morning, he located the Elk and tried to kill it with another arrow, but the wounded animal suddenly gored him in the neck.

Local police reported that the man died, while the Elk meat was donated to the Tillamook County Jail.
“The landowner attempted to help David, but he sustained fatal injuries and died,” the OSP explained in a statement to the Statesman Journal.
