The Armed Forces of Ukraine deployed two armoured vehicles and an armoured personnel carrier, as well as equipping positions in the village of Zolotoye, where the separation of forces and means of the conflicting parties is planned, the press service of the People’s Police of the self-proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic (LNR) told Interfax on Tuesday.

According to the interlocutor of the agency, the LNR intelligence recorded that the Ukrainian military is equipping new positions in the courtyard of a residential building.

Meanwhile, the press centre of the headquarters of the Ukrainian Operation of the Joint Forces (OOS) said that the enemy over the past day 16 times opened fire on the positions of the Ukrainian army.

“There were no casualties from shelling among the personnel of the United Forces,” the report said on a Facebook page on Tuesday.

The report notes that in the zone of the Vostok grouping, shelling was carried out from heavy machine guns, mortars, automatic grenade launchers and other small arms in the area of ​​five settlements in the Donbass.

In the zone of the North grouping, according to Kiev, the shelling was carried out with machine guns and grenade launchers at four settlements, including in the Zolotoy district.

At a meeting on October 1, the contact group for the settlement of the conflict in the Donbass agreed on troop withdrawal in the area of ​​two settlements in eastern Ukraine – Zolotoy and Petrovsky. It was supposed to begin on October 7 and end on October 11. However, several attempts at breeding were unsuccessful due to Kiev’s refusal to breed forces. The Ukrainian side motivated the refusal to withdraw forces by the militia’s non-compliance with a seven-day silence regime in the Petrovsky and Zolotoy areas.

It was expected that at the meeting on October 15, the contact group will determine new opportunities for the separation of forces in the Donbass, but this did not happen.
