On March 26, the China National Space Administration (CNSA) released new images of Mars sent by the Tianwen 1 probe

Both pictures were released by the press service of the department.

The spacecraft took pictures at an altitude of 11 thousand kilometers above the surface of the red planet with medium-resolution cameras.

Tianwen 1 is on the unlit side of Mars, and therefore the planet looks like a crescent in both frames.

The pictures were taken on March 16 and 18, Beijing Time.

The probe has been in Mars orbit for about a month now. The agency notes that it is currently filming with high and medium-resolution cameras.

In addition, there are mineral spectrometers, analyzers of particles, ions and neutral particles, magnetometers and other equipment.
