Legendary professional snooker player Englishman Ronnie O’Sullivan won the 2020 World Cup, which was held in Sheffield. In the final of the tournament, Ronnie easily beat his younger compatriot Kyren Wilson with a score of 18:8.
This victory was the sixth at the World Championships for the 44-year-old Englishman. Thus, O’Sullivan set the record for the most won rating tournaments (37). In total, he has 75 victories. In addition, the “Magician” has caught up in the number of world championships won with Ray Reardon (Wales) and Steve Davis (England).
28-year-old Wilson made his first World Cup final. In the quarter-finals, Kyren dealt with last year’s winner, the Englishman Judd Trump.
Note that the 2020 World Snooker Championship was held with spectators, despite the coronavirus pandemic.
