Microsoft Edge on Dev Channel gets an update

Microsoft has released a new update for Microsoft Edge. The Chromium-based browser receives a new version within the Dev channel that takes the browser to the version with build number 78.0.262.0. Microsoft Edge on the Dev channel can be downloaded here.

The Dev channel, the most conservative of the existing ones to get hold of the new Edge, offers a compilation that focuses primarily on error correction and adding some new features with which to achieve a better user experience. Let’s see some of the news that it brings.

Among all the news, which are marked in the changelog labeled NEW, it highlights how they have improved the synchronization system with Edge mobile. The mobile version of the browser now supports password synchronization and form fill data with the desktop version of Edge. An improvement that comes both for personal accounts and for work and school accounts.

Along with this novelty, we find a series of new features, labeled as new:

  • To try to avoid situations where the browser starts but the web pages are not loaded, it will now try to reduce when it detects that it is running with administrative privileges.
