This is the Premium Support formula offered to those operating within the enterprise environment. The classic editions of the browser will continue to remain available completely free of charge and will be continuously updated, as always happened. The same applies to the Extended Support Release.

These are the benefits and extras for those who will choose the new premium option: direct and private bug reporting, immediate fixes on security issues, guaranteed timelines for answers provided by support, portal dedicated to Enterprise customers, possibility of contributing to the definition of the development roadmap, receiving notifications of critical events (it is not possible to know precisely what we are referring to, perhaps the introduction of new features) and exclusive management tools. The formula will be offered starting from the price of 10 dollars for each installation, as can be seen in the image below shared by the gHacks website.

Companies will therefore be able to count on additional help, against a periodic expense, for the management of Firefox on the devices and the terminals linked to their activity. In this way Mozilla aims to generate a new source of revenue to support its business (as already done with a VPN service or with news without ads) and to make the browser more appealing to the non-consumer environment. To date most of the revenue for the company is linked to the use of Google as a default engine for users’ online searches.

It is therefore about to open a new chapter in the history of Mozilla, also considering the resignation announced by Chris Beard, who from next year will no longer be the company’s CEO.
