Australian escapes from hotel quarantine using bedsheets tied from fourth-floor window

A 39-year-old Queensland man bravely evaded mandatory quarantine by jumping out of a fourth-floor hotel window.

By making a rope out of bedsheets, climbed down the building through a window.

On his arrival in Perth from Brisbane on July 19, a man known by the name of Travis Jay Myles was informed that he had 48 hours to depart the state.

His urgent request for a necessary permit upon arrival was also denied since he had failed to get one prior to his departure. He was then instructed to quarantine himself at a nearby motel for the night.

Rather of spending the night behind locked doors, the man climbed out of his Rivervale Hotel fourth-floor room.

The local cops were also surprised after finding how he escaped from the hotel. The Western Australian Police also posted a few pictures of the escape plan on their Facebook page.

According to the authorities, he was subsequently detained for violating the law.

The man was apprehended by police authorities eight hours after his escape near Mount Lawley, north of the city. He was tracked and checked to determine whether he had come into touch with the virus, but he tested negative for COVID-19.

However, he was charged with failing to follow health standards and giving false information as a result of his actions.

According to the new regulations, all visitors to Western Australia must complete a required G2G pass registration and declaration before entering the country.
