The woman was the mother of twins and recently gave birth to seven boys and three girls at a time.

In South Africa, a woman gave birth to ten children. 37-year-old Gosiame Thamara Sithole became a mother of many children at one time. She already had twins at the time of her birth.

It is noted that Gosiame gave birth to seven boys and three girls by Caesarean section at a hospital in Pretoria late Monday, her husband said.

“It’s seven boys and three girls. She was seven months and seven days pregnant,” Mr. Tsotetsi confirmed Pretoria News after the birth.

I am happy. I am emotional. I can’t talk much

The couple claims the pregnancy was natural. On the ultrasound, the woman was first told that there were six babies in the womb, then they were told that there were eight children. The operation revealed that Sithole was enduring the Decaplets.

Sithole said she suffered through the complicated pregnancy, experiencing morning sickness early on followed later by pain in her leg.

Her husband did not believe doctors for a long time and considered such a pregnancy to be impossible from the point of view of medicine. And then he was delighted that he became a father of many children in an instant.

But after I found out that these things do happen, and saw my wife’s medical records, I got excited. I can’t wait to have them in my arms

Children of such extreme multiple pregnancies are almost always born under-weight and can often be malnourished as the mother’s body struggles to provide nutrients for so many infants.

Cases of infant mortality are also not uncommon following large multiple births.

MailOnline has been unable to independently verify Sithole’s account because the name of the hospital where she gave birth has not yet been made public.

A fertility doctor who was aware of the case has been contacted for comment but had not responded at the time of publication.

    It was reported by DailyMail.
