In the worst-case scenario, the total number of deaths from coronavirus will reach six million by December 2021.
Scientists have predicted several scenarios for the development of a pandemic, according to which mortality from coronavirus will sharply increase in early September and peak in December.
Data about this appeared on the website of the American Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation.

The Institute’s forecast includes both officially reported deaths from COVID-19 and additional deaths from concomitant diseases, including unreported deaths.
According to the most skeptical scenario, the total number of deaths from coronavirus by December 2021 will reach six million people with a daily death rate of 11,300 people. Moreover, its peak will fall in mid-October (21,473 deaths).
The real forecast, which is based on current statistics, shows that by September the daily number of deaths from coronavirus in the world will increase to ten thousand per day (now nine thousand), but then it will gradually decline. The total death rate, in this case, will reach 5.2 million people by December.
According to the positive scenario, which takes into account that 95% of the world’s population will wear masks in public places, the number of daily deaths will also increase until the beginning of September, and then decline sharply.
Under such conditions, as of December 1, up to 3.1 thousand deaths will be recorded in the world every day, and the total mortality from COVID-19 will be 4.9 million people.
