“There have been 23 vaccine-related deaths. 13 of them have been studied so far. Common side effects could contribute to a more serious course of diseases in older people,” the report said.
According to Steinar Madsen, a spokesman for the Medicines Agency, the deaths “are not particularly alarming.”
“It is clear that this vaccine has a very small risk factor, with a few exceptions when it comes to elderly patients with poor health,” Madsen said.
