During a walk on New Year’s Eve, Pope Francis across the Vatican Square an incident occurred, a video of which appeared on the network.
An unknown woman grabbed the pontiff by the hand and pulled to her. Francis quickly pulled out his hand and hit the woman on the arm. After that, the guards intervened in the situation.
Note that at the New Year’s Eve service in St. Peter’s Basilica, Francis urged people to show more solidarity and “build bridges rather than walls.”
