A 42-year-old volunteer for the mayoral candidate and Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams was repeatedly stabbed four times at 149th Street and Morris Avenue just before 4 p.m. in the Bronx on Sunday with an ice pick, Adams said.
Her injuries were not considered a danger to life.
“He was stabbed multiple times with an ice pick, one of the most dangerous weapons you can use in a stabbing.” Adams said.

The video shows the victim being approached by two attackers before being stabbed by one of them, but Adams said he wasn’t sure if the attack was politically motivated.
“We don’t know what it is connected to,” he said.
“We’ve been dealing with some issues to see if it’s connected to that, but at this time we don’t know if it connected to that.”
The volunteer was in surgery on Sunday evening, Adams tweeted.
“We pray for him,” Adams tweeted.
“This violence must stop.”
The victim had been “working hard & volunteering every day,” Adams tweeted.

Mayoral contender Andrew Yang also tweeted about the stabbing.
“Horrible news. My thoughts are with your volunteer, their family, and your entire team, Eric,” he tweeted.”
Candidates Maya Wiley, Scott Stringer, Kathryn Garcia and Shaun Donovan also tweeted about the stabbing.
