Human remains found near Harry and Meghan's mansion in the US

The discovery was made during construction works a few meters from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s mansion in California. According to a forensic anthropologist, these remains are very old and could belong to a member of an original indigenous people.

The remains discovered next to the Montecito complex are believed to date back more than 10,000 years.

The spokesman for the sheriff’s office of Santa Barbara told Daily Mail that these remains belong to a young adult who died for unknown reasons and that’s probably a Native American.

According to preliminary results from a forensic anthropologist hired to assist investigators, the bones could be from a member of the Chumash people with roots in the area dating back nearly 11,000 years.

At the moment, the Police and local authorities are awaiting an official report from the forensic anthropologist to determine how to proceed in the event that the remains found belong to an indigenous person.

In 1901 a reservation was established for the Chumash, which now houses 5,000 members.
