The Marine has become an accidental victim of the gunner. He was hospitalized, there is no threat to his life.

In Times Square, New York City, a CD vendor conflict ended with a shot at a passerby. This was on the night of Tuesday, June 29.

It is noted that the incident took place on Sunday. During a quarrel between several sellers, one of them took out a weapon and fired.

The bullet hit the back of a 21-year-old Marine, identified as Samuel Poulin, who was walking in the square with his family. The guy was hospitalized, there is no threat to his life.

“The Citadel family – in Charleston, South Carolina and around the world – is greatly saddened to learn about what happened to our Class of 2021 graduate, 2nd Lieutenant Samuel Poulin in Times Square on Sunday when he was hit by a bullet from a shooting event unrelated to him,” Citadel President Gen. Glenn M. Walters said in a statement.

“We are encouraged that he is reported to be in stable condition are sending our prayers and our love to his new wife and his family. 2nd Lieutenant Poulin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, was a President’s List cadet and exemplifies the kind of principled leader The Citadel strives to produce.”

Meanwhile, the shooter disappeared from the scene. Law enforcement officers are offering $ 3,500 in reward for information about him.

According to the TV channel, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio said that fifty more police officers would be sent to Times Square to secure “a very expensive and important place for the city.”

“It is just an unacceptable state of affairs,” he said.

“This is a place that is precious and so important to New York City. It has to be safe, so we are adding additional officers.”

“The bottom line is we are going to flood the zone in Times Square with additional officers to make sure this situation is resolved once and for all,” de Blasio said.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
