R. Kelly Trial: 28-Year-Old Accuser says the singer allegedly made her wear a Pigtail or dressed like a ‘Girl Scout’

The 28-year-old woman who accused singer R. Kelly of sex trafficking has returned to the witness stand on Thursday, August 19, 2021, to square off against the defense team.

The singer of “I Believe I Can Fly” has been in and out of courtrooms for the last two months, as claims stream in from all sides. The 54-year-old has been granted a day in court to defend his innocence before a judge and jury.

So far, it does not appear like everything is going in his favour, as he is facing more serious allegations that might keep him in court until the end of the year. His most recent court case is against one of his accusers, Jerhonda Pace.

She returned to court to testify about the alleged awful deeds that Kelly subjected her to, as well as other ladies she was aware of at the time. Despite the fact that her stance has continually garnered criticism from the singer’s counsel, the alleged victim is refusing to back down in court in order to tell what she swears is the truth.

It’s unknown what will happen to Kelly if he’s found guilty of this new offence, but it’s not going to be a pleasant sentence.

Keep your fingers crossed for this one as you scroll down to learn more about this latest court case.

Jerhonda Pace, the accuser, took the stand in a Brooklyn Federal court in the early hours of Monday to present her version of the tale in an attempt to persuade the judge and an anonymous jury that Kelly is guilty of the crimes she accused him of.

In her initial declaration, she said that the “The World’s Greatest” singer would periodically ask her to dress as a “Girl Scout” during sexual meetings. She went on to state that this had been going on since she was a minor.

She also revealed that she first met the singer when she was a 16-year-old virgin and a member of his fan club. She then mentioned that she was asked to his estate one day, which she accepted. When Pace arrived at the home, she was handed harsh rules dubbed “Rob’s rules.” These regulations specified what she could wear, when she may use the restroom, and with whom she could speak.

Pace stated in a graphic description of one of the costumes the singer reportedly forced her to wear a Pigtail or dressed like a ‘Girl Scout’ to engage in sexual activities that were filmed.

During cross-examination, Pace was accused of being a flagrant liar, which she denied.

Deveraux Cannick, the cross-examiner and Kelly’s legal representative, stated that Pace got the dates and times of her meetings with the singer jumbled up, which could only suggest that Pace was manufacturing the events to get the defender in trouble with the court.

He went on to add that she messed up the dates because when she first met the artist, she lied about her age, fooling him into thinking she wasn’t a child. His blunt query elicited a quick and vehement response from her.

He asked; “You were in fact stalking him right?” to which she responded by saying; “That is not right.”

Cannick’s questioning process followed the course of the singer’s defense counsel in establishing that Kelly was actually the victim in the case, as groupies sought after him in many ways and utilized various tactics to garner his attention at gigs, parties, and tours.

To bolster Pace’s and other survivors’ claims for justice, prosecutors presented evidence in court proving that Kelly did, in fact, engage with the accuser in a series of texts when she was 17 years old in 2010.

Prosecutors presented the messages as evidence, and the court accepted them because they originated from Pace’s cell phone. The series of messages proved that the artist did, in fact, speak to the then-17-year-old, including one in which he wrote “call me.”

A photo of Pace’s chest tattooed with the singer’s face was also included in the messages, which she stated she has now covered with a black heart. According to sources, Pace is the first of numerous women who would testify in the following weeks about their interactions with the signer and what he forced them to go through at such a young age.

Again, according to the law, these ladies will be referred to as “Jane Does” outside of court until they are willing to divulge their identities to the public. Pace’s name is referenced in this article because she has made herself known to the media through participation in a documentary and public interviews.

For several months, the singer, born Robert Sylvester Kelly, has said that he is innocent of all charges levelled against him and is willing to fight tooth and nail to prove it. In Pace’s case, Kelly denied ever preying on her or any other underage female over his 30-year career.

In 2008, he was found not guilty in a child pornography case in Chicago, and he returned to his career, which received greater attention, but it did not last.

The #MeToo movement, which resurfaced in 2017, caught up with the musician as more women from other states in America accused him of sexually related offences when they were minors. When the majority of these women were interviewed for a documentary called “Surviving R. Kelly,” the allegations became more serious.

In addition to his present case in Brooklyn, the singer is scheduled to appear before a court in Illinois and Minnesota for sex-related crimes.
