US B-2 bomber makes an emergency landing

A B-2 stealth bomber from the US Air Force was forced to make an emergency landing at Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri on Tuesday.

The aircraft had to land around 12:30 a.m. due to an “in-flight problem” during a regular training mission, according to the Air Force Global Strike Public Affairs branch.

Air Force Global Strike Public Affairs Jennifer Greene said in a statement that the bomber received minor damage on the runway after landing.

She stated that there were no human injuries or fires as a result of the landing.
