A young woman wanted to scare her boyfriend, set the house on fire and killed him and his 8-year-old son

The defendant told her friends that she just wanted to scare her boyfriend. The homicide occurred in the city of Leandro N. Alem, Misiones in Argentina.

A woman was arrested in the early hours of this Wednesday, accused of setting fire to her boyfriend’s house, killing the man and the 8-year-old son, while they slept. The incident occurred at dawn on Monday in the Kubovy neighborhood of the missionary city of Leandro N. Alem.

The abrupt turn in the investigation took place in the last hours, when several people declared that Yésica Anahí Lishnivez (30) confessed that she had started the fire at the door of the property using a piece of foam rubber and wax as a fuel element.

Saddened by the final result, she said that she was only looking to give Rosendo José Campos (30) a “scare”, with whom she had a courtship marked by constant discussions, although investigators doubt that version.

The couple had shared a Sunday with copious alcoholic beverages. In the evening, Yésica berated her partner for having bought more alcohol on her behalf at a nearby kiosk. The woman left the place for her home, but soon after began to call the man with the intention of rebuilding the relationship.

The woman was arrested by the tragic fire in Leandro N. Alem, Misiones.

Lishnivez was never able to speak to her boyfriend again. As she related to her friends, at dawn she returned to Rosendo’s house with the intention of giving him “a scare”, causing some damage to the house and thus forcing him to come and spend the night with her.

The young woman would have started the fire at the entrance door to the building. The flames quickly spiraled out of control and consumed the entire construction that Rosendo and his son shared. The fire also swept through the annexed property, where a sister of the victim lived.

The young woman had warned her friends not to report her because otherwise she would take her own life, sources linked to the investigation said. Saddened by the result, the woman insisted at all times that she was only trying to give “a scare” to her partner.

To prevent him from being injured, Instruction Judge Selva Raquel Zuetta authorized a search in the early hours of the morning. In the woman’s, a can was found with traces of fuel and also pieces of foam rubber with black wax, and a cell phone that will be assessed in the coming days.

The police returned to Yésica’s house in the morning to seize articles of clothing that could have traces of fuel.

If the results of the tests on the burned property show traces of fuel or some other accelerator of the fire, they will be key to the indictment of Lishnivez and the continuation of the case.
