Xin Xing brought 36 cubs into this world, and at the time of her death, in terms of human age, she was 130 years old.

The world’s oldest giant panda, Xin Xing, has died at the zoo in Chongqing, China, at the age of 38. On Monday, December 21, The New York Post reported referring to notification appeared online.

The animal was 38 years old, she died of multiple organ failure. In terms of human age, she was 130 years old.

“At the end of October, Xin Xing developed drowsiness and loss of appetite, her condition began to deteriorate rapidly. Despite the efforts of doctors, it was not possible to save the panda,” the message says. 

XinXing was called “the hero mother”: over the years she gave birth to 36 cubs.

Xin Xing, which means “New Star”, was born in 1982 in the Baoxing County Nature Reserve, Sichuan Province and was immediately transported to the Chongqing Zoo. In August this year, the animal celebrated its 38th anniversary. She was presented with a “cake” of her favorite treats in the form of fruits and bamboo shoots.
