The famous American singer and actress Miley Cyrus surprised her fans by releasing a new song, ‘Midnight Sky’.

The song Midnight Sky, accompanied by a colourful 1980s-style video clip, is dedicated to the release of a long toxic relationship. “I was born to run, I don’t belong to anyone, oh no. I don’t need to be loved by you,” read the lyrics of the daring song.

The song allegedly narrates Cyrus’s family problems with her ex-husband, actor Liam Hemsworth, with whom she divorced in 2019, and the former Disney girl’s short romance with the former sister-in-law of the Kardashian family, Kaitlynn Carter.

“Many years have passed with my hands tied by your strings”, sings the singer.

The energetic theme did not leave Miley’s fans indifferent.

“This is a work of art, Miley reinvents herself over and over again and any style fits her well, in short, a legend”; “She is one of the most versatile artists of our generation”; “This song deserves a Grammy,” some of them commented in the video.

The Wrecking Ball singer also just ended her relationship with singer Cody Simpson, with whom she began dating in October 2019. “At the moment, two halves cannot make a whole,” said the artist during a live on Instagram. Cyrus added that she and Cody will remain friends.
