The Russian group of companies ISBC, registered in Zelenograd, sold Apple its trademark AirTag, RBC reports citing a source familiar with the details of the transaction. Under this brand, gadgets with RFID tags were issued, for example, key-rings that were used to access offices, and events. Also, this gadget can be used as a means of payment, writing down the data of a credit card on it.

The publication indicates that Apple will produce under the brand AirTag devices for tracking items. The ISBC website reports the sale of an AirTag trademark, but transaction details are not disclosed. The company expressed confidence that the future of the AirTag trademark “will be bright and soon the whole world will recognize and love the new product under this name.”

Apple has not yet announced the release of devices under the brand Name AirTag. However, 9to5mac found the mention of AirTag in the code for the October iOS 13.2 update. It contains information about pairing a new device with a smartphone. The device will be a small RFID tag that can be attached to any item and tracked through the application.

Earlier it was reported that Apple reported record growth in revenue for the fourth quarter – up to $ 64 billion. The company is preparing to launch a new streaming service and points to a significant increase in revenue in the services segment, which includes music, digital payments and software products.
