British doctors named the main signs of a heart attack, which should be paid attention to in time to help the person.

Sudden sweating for no apparent reason combined with other symptoms can be a harbinger of a heart attack, according to the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

The main warning signs of a heart attack, according to the BHF and the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well, include:

  • Chest pain or discomfort
  • Feeling weak, dizzy, or fainting
  • Pain or discomfort in the jaw, neck, or back
  • Pain or discomfort in one or both arms or shoulders
  • Dyspnea
  • Cold sweat

The reason for sweating in anticipation of a heart attack is that it takes much more effort for the heart to pump blood through clogged arteries. The body begins to sweat more in order to lower the temperature during additional stress.

As the doctors emphasized, if sweating is accompanied by sharp chest pain, dizziness and shortness of breath, you should urgently seek medical help.

It is noted that the most effective way to prevent a heart attack is to eat healthy foods, quit smoking, and keep blood pressure at a normal level.
