Do you drink coffee five times a day because you feel like you don’t get everything and don’t know how to get your energy back any other way?

Food and nutrition experts consulted by Revyuh Team reveal which five other foods can help you even better.

Fruit, nuts, and chocolate, among other foods, could be the best alternatives to coffee if you want to stay active throughout the day, according to experts.

1. Proteins

As advised by them, you should choose foods rich in protein, such as meat, fish, eggs, milk, and yogurt. The energy you get from these foods is consumed more slowly.

In addition, they help when carrying out tasks of an intellectual nature and maintaining muscle mass. They also satisfy the appetite for longer than coffee.

Especially when they are consumed together with slowly assimilated carbohydrates. If you are a vegetarian, specialists recommend that you include tofu – rich in protein – and legumes in your diet.

2. Fruit rich in fast assimilating carbohydrates

Eating fruit rich in fast assimilating carbohydrates because they are offset at the expense of fiber. This food helps the brain to wake up quickly. A large apple contains up to 13 grams of sugar and is equivalent to a cup of coffee.

3. Nuts

This product also satiates, reduces the level of bad cholesterol and contains biotin. But experts warn of the high calorific value of nuts and, therefore, recommend eating them in moderation: no more than three or four nuts a day, or 10 hazelnuts, almonds and pistachios without salt.

4. Chocolate

It is a good alternative to coffee since cocoa tones the body and helps maintain attention. Caffeine and theobromine gradually release energy without dramatically increasing pressure and heart rate.

However, it is not recommended to eat a chocolate bar in one sitting, as it contains many calories.

5. Water

It is essential to stay hydrated. A liter and a half or two a day will keep you active throughout the day.

But avoid increasing the amount of water, as well as eating high-fat or salty dishes.
