These sensations during sleep could be signs of diabetes: do not ignore them

Diabetes is one of the most dangerous diseases on the global health landscape, owing to rising obesity rates in various countries, among other variables.

According to CDC estimates, more than 37.3 million people have diabetes, nearly 11.3% of the US population, in the United States itself and more than 8.5 million people or nearly 23% US adults are undiagnosed.

Intense thirst, frequent urination, blurred vision, an excessive increase in hunger, cramps, and muscle weakness are some of the symptoms of this condition.

Furthermore, persons who have this condition may experience cardiovascular issues, blindness, gangrene, amputations, and kidney failure, among other physical degradation symptoms.

Genetics, a sedentary lifestyle, an imbalanced diet, overweight, and obesity are all risk factors for developing this condition.

Physical activity on a daily basis, a reduction in sugar consumption, and an increase in fiber consumption, among other things, can help to prevent the condition.

According to experts, some night sensations have been linked to the condition.

Given this context, it is critical to seek medical attention if these sensations occur while sleeping.

  • Waking up frequently to urinate
  • Lack of sleep
  • Tingling in extremities
  • Thirst
  • Dry mouth

These occurrences, which are all linked to diabetic symptoms, could suggest a blood sugar level dysregulation and should be treated.
