We have good news for Slack users. The application for Mac has just received a major update brings a new dark mode for desktop versions of Slack. This new mode for the desktop option will be available on all platforms gradually, allowing macOS, Windows and Linux users to change the theme of traditional light that has always been available on the platform.
The dark desktop mode in Slack appears months after the same feature appeared in the Slack versions for iOS and Android earlier this year.
“The dark mode is an important feature for many people … It is useful for working at night or in low light, and we know that many need it for accessibility reasons, such as visual impairments, migraines or other visual disorders,” he explains. How to access the new dark mode of Slack
To start visualizing the dark mode in the teamwork app, you must update or restart the Slack desktop application to find the new dark mode options in the themes part of the settings.
If you want to change themes, go to Slack Preferences> Sidebar> Theme. There you will find the new dark themes, once you have received the Slack update for your Mac.
