Officials from both Moscow and Kyiv attended the discussions, which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believed would result in a cease-fire and the withdrawal of Russian troops.

The negotiations took place near Russia’s most powerful ally, Belarus.

However, the mayor of Kievskaya, Igor Sapozhko, said that the airstrike took place in the area of the military unit.

“A few minutes ago, there was an airstrike on the suburbs of Brovary in the Kyiv direction. Some people are injured”.

As a result of an air raid on the city of Brovary near Kyiv, one person was killed and five more were injured. Mayor Igor Sapozhko announced this on his Facebook page on Tuesday, February 28.

“We are clarifying our losses: one dead, five wounded. An air raid near the military unit of Kyiv,” Sapozhko wrote.

In another strike in Kharkiv, 9 people were killed, and 37 were injured, including 3 children.

A convoy of Belarus military trucks was also seen going east, apparently in preparation for the Russian invasion.

The talks are now over, with more talks scheduled in the coming days, according to the Belarusian state news agency, quoting the Russian officials.
