The 32-year-old Australian will not be allowed to drive on public roads. He is currently a member of the Queensland Moto Park, where he rides the dirt bike track.
Chass Moller-Nielson, who has been blind since birth, was recently granted a driver’s license in Australia so that he can ride an off-road motorcycle.
According to reports, Chass Moller-Nielson sought the support of a buddy in order to pass the exam. By using the microphone and headphones that were incorporated into the helmet, he was able to communicate with a blind comrade and direct him in the right direction.
“It’s really special,” he said.
“It just feels like freedom, freedom and joy.”
“The most important thing a navigator can do is give them cue points — you’re at this part of the course — and then just a basic steering left or right,” said Navigator and friend Jack Elkins.
“I don’t tell him what gear to use, how to brake, et cetera, I just have to guide him.
Moller-Nielson, on the other hand, was the one who chose the speed mode. So far, a group of buddies has been assisting him with easy bends and turns, but in the future, more difficult jobs are expected to be assigned to him.
“We haven’t really complicated it yet, so we’re just doing simple turns and leaning.
“But obviously, as we progress, we’re going to get a bit more difficult.”
The 32-year-old motorcyclist reminded people not to be afraid of challenges and to ignore those who claim that something will not work out for them.
