The fact that funeral costs were not included in the list of social contributions that are annually indexed explains why additional funds were required.

The FSB requested a 17 percent increase in money for “military burials and tombstones” on the 50th day of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The request for more funeral funds is explained by the fact that these costs are not included in the list of social benefits that are updated annually, according to the FSB.

Due to Western sanctions, corporate flight, buyer panic, and supply interruptions, rising prices in Russia have risen dramatically since the start of the war.

Since the invasion of Ukraine, Russian authorities have only announced the death toll of Russian personnel twice.

On March 2, the Defense Ministry stated that there were 498 of them, but on March 25, it stated that there were 1,351 of them.

On April 7, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, told Sky News that the Russian army had suffered “significant losses” in Ukraine.

Ukraine’s Armed Forces claim a far higher number: 20,000 personnel.
