He attacked passers-by with a knife and is said to be responsible for an explosion and a fire in a train car: a man disguised as a joker injured several people in Tokyo.

In the film Joker, director Todd Phillips tells the story of how the lonely and mentally ill Arthur Fleck mutates into Batman’s arch-rival. In the course of Fleck’s transformation, he, played by Joaquin Phoenix, kills several men in a train compartment.

An act in Tokyo now shows similar to this story: A 24-year-old attacked passengers disguised as a joker on a train. According to media reports, he injured several people with a knife.

According to reports in the media, the suspected attacker was apprehended by police. As a result, one of the victims was in critical condition. According to witnesses, the perpetrator poured something on the train and set fire to it.

Explosion and fire in the car

A video uploaded to Twitter and broadcast on Japanese public radio shows people running from a train car that seconds later a small explosion sets off a fire.

Another video shows passengers pushing their way out of the train’s windows onto the platform, where the train made an emergency stop.

“I thought it was a Halloween stunt,” a witness told the Yomiuri newspaper. “Then I saw a man running that way, slowly waving a long knife.” The witness said there was blood on the knife.

The incident occurred at 8 p.m. local time on the Keio line moving towards Shinjuku, the world’s busiest train station, according to media reports.
