No more than a dozen prisoners managed to get a vaccine against coronavirus infection in prison.

In the United States, an outbreak of coronavirus infection has occurred in the largest prison in New Hampshire. More than a hundred prisoners fell ill there.

New Hampshire Public Radio reports that the Hillsborough County Jail has reported 120 cases of coronavirus among inmates. Also, COVID-19 was found in six prison staff.

The head of the prison said that the coronavirus vaccine was offered to prisoners only a few weeks ago and no more than a dozen people received it.

It is noted that the incidence of coronavirus in the United States among prisoners is much higher than among the general population and in some prisons, the situation is especially critical.

Earlier last month, a county in Maine declared an emergency at its jail owing to a COVID outbreak and a shortage of corrections personnel.

The Cumberland County Jail declared an emergency for the first time in its history, according to the Portland Press Herald.

According to the Worldometers website, the United States and India are the leaders in the world in terms of daily mortality from coronavirus.

In Europe, the UK, and Russia are leading in terms of the daily increase in the disease.
