Ukraine Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that Ukraine is moving into full defense mode and called on everyone “who is ready and able to hold a weapon” to join the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Minister wrote about this on Facebook.
“Ukraine goes into total defense mode.
“Anyone who is ready and able to hold weapons may just now become the level of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in your region.To get weapons, you need to contact the TRO Forces brigades and battalions directly in your region.
“You only need to have a passport,” the message said.
To obtain weapons, you need to contact the brigades and battalions of the Troop Forces in the regions, the minister specified.
Russian troops have been firing on ten Ukrainian districts since the morning of February 24.
According to local reports, shelling has been going on in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk, Odesa, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, and Kyiv since morning. Additionally, one aircraft was destroyed at the airfields at Melitopol and Ozernoye, Zhytomyr Region.
According to reports, Russian airstrikes have killed at least 15 Ukrainians and injured more than a dozen.
