We are eager to know what Microsoft’s plans may be to renew or perhaps expand its family of devices. We await the arrival of October 2 to know what the new innovations are, but in the meantime we have nothing more than to throw away imagination or leaks.

And it is still striking how they have come to light different patents in which they have worked at Microsoft and many of them characterized by offering solutions in the form of dual-screen devices or flexible screen. Patents like this one that now comes to light.

The hinge is the key

A patent that shows what appears to be a compact and also foldable device that for many may be the next Microsoft compact PC. A folding double-screen device based perhaps on an adapted version of Windows 10: Windows Core OS is the name that for now has more signs of coming true.

The latest patent focuses especially on the hinge of a possible new model and is that cases such as the Samsung Galaxy Fold have demonstrated the vital importance of this piece in this type of devices .

It is not the first time that a patent has come to light from Microsoft that refers to this piece in a possible device. The difference is that this time a little more concrete how this patent would be implemented.

We do not know if it will materialize in the rumored Centaurus Project. We will have to wait for this year’s event in New York, on October 2, to get to know the new and passing releases and maybe some device that we don’t expect.
