The Mountain View group cuts another dry branch: now close to the Google Bulletin closure, a project put in place only at the beginning of last year that evidently did not prove able to meet expectations. The closure is set for November 22, as communicated by bigG to users who have relied on the service to date.

To make it known, the editorial staff of the Android Police site, with the message received from a reader, is invited to download the published contents before the activities are interrupted. Users are suggested to rely on the Blogger platform  to continue sharing posts and stories with the online community. We report it below with an extract in translated form.

Your stories have been archived and available for download as a zip file. The download link will work until Friday 22 November. After this date the contents will be deleted.

Bulletin’s stated goal was to offer users a useful tool for sharing stories and content for those who live in the same neighborhood or in any case in a limited geographical area, also exploiting the potential of Accelerated Mobile Pages. Posts and notices that otherwise would have risked being lost and not be easily found on traditional social networks and more generally on the Web.

The initiative never came out of the experimental phase and after making its debut in a few American cities, it extended the reach to all the United States and Canada. It never arrived in Europe.
