Biden tops the rope in U.S. primaries in New York and Virginia

Former U.S. Vice President Biden has won the preliminary election among Democrats in the United States, New York and Virginia.

In the United States, the democratic party’s presidential candidate for the November 3 presidential election slated for the presidential election last night in New York, Virginia and Kentucky.

Former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, who declared his victory in Kentucky at night, also won in New York and Virginia, according to unofficial results released by the Associated Press (AP).

Biden won 130 delegates in New York with 67.5 per cent of the vote, followed by Bernie Sanders, who already withdrew from the presidential race with 19 per cent.

In Virginia, Biden won 53.3 per cent of the vote, and 67 delegates. Sanders, who also trailed Biden, received 23.1 per cent of the vote.

On the other hand, Democrat Ocasio-Cortez of New York, who frequently raised the controversy with Trump, won against former CNBC host Michelle Caruso-Cabrera.

Ocasio Cortez secured her candidacy with 72.6 per cent of the vote, while Caruso-Cabrera remained at 19.4 per cent.

New York, on the other hand, is the 16th-century new city. Eliot Engel, deputy of the electoral district and chairman of the House of Representatives Foreign Relations Committee, was defeated at the ballot box.

Engel’s opponent, Jamaal Bowman, secured his candidacy with 60.9 per cent of the vote, while Engel lost the chance to run again with 35.6 per cent.

Engel is also known for his support for ENES Kanter, a FETÖ deserter who plays for the NBA.

Democrats will officially announce their presidential candidates in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on August 17.

The Republican Party’s congress, which will nominate current President Donald Trump, will be held on August 24-27.

The country will win the election on November 3, 2020, and will take the presidency to the White House on January 20, 2021.
